"Zlata" Gold Embroidered Couture Bridal Set - Silk Organza & Satin

Inspired by the richness of Balkan zlatovez embroidery, Zlata is a ceremonial bridal set crafted from ivory silk organza and duchess silk satin with gold embroidered lace appliques. The sculpted waistcoat ties delicately at the sides, while the mermaid skirt unfolds into pleated organza godets finished with hand-applied golden lace and a dramatic trailing hem. Lined with transluscent crinkled silk organza. The assembly of hand cutting flower lace motifs and sewing them with transluscent thread over the top and the skirt with sewing it together took over 30 hours to make. 

Hand-cut and sewn with transparent thread on transparent silk organza, antique gold lace is applied in floral motifs and the transparency of the inserts with the skirt's tail that expands into a mermaid make Zlata not a reinterpretation of the past but its continuation.
